The Wenatchee
Wild, preparing for their first season as
members of the British Columbia Hockey League, are pleased to announce
the return of Dakota Raabe for his second season with the team.
Raabe is an 18 year old, left-handed shooting forward, hailing
from Orange County, California, standing 5’8” and 150 lbs. In 39 games with the
Wild last season, Raabe had 10 goals, 11 assists and 12 penalty minutes. He
picked up 2 penalty minutes in 4 playoff appearances.
“Dakota should be one of the quicker players in the league.
We will count on Dakota to take on a bigger role offensively.” said Wenatchee
Wild Head Coach/General Manager Bliss Littler. “Dakota should cause problems with
his speed on the forecheck.”
On his return to Wenatchee, Raabe said “I can’t be more
excited to be with the Wenatchee Wild and how great of an organization they
have been to me. Fortunately, Bliss likes offensive players which is huge for
my kind of gameplay and I can’t wait to be back with this organization. And
can’t be more excited to play in the BCHL this season.”
The Wild will be holding tryout camp July 16th-19th
at The Community Rink at the Town Toyota Center, which will be free and open to
the public. The regular season opens September 11th and 12th,
with a pair of road games against the Prince George Spruce Kings. The team’s
first home game at the Town Toyota Center will be Saturday, October 10th,
against the Coquitlam Express. Season seats for all 28 home games are available
through the Wild office, or by calling 509-888-7825.
