UFO hunters are claiming an unusual type of solar UFO sighting. According to UFO Sightings Daily, a stealth UFO was detected exiting the Sun’s atmosphere. It’s estimated that the dark but massive UFO is twice the size of Earth.

Researchers say guys with an inch or two to pinch make better lovers — at least when it comes to sexual stamina. Researchers in Turkey did a study that looked at the correlation between body mass index (BMI) and male sexual performance. Their findings: Overweight men with obvious bellies lasted five minutes — five minutes! — longer in the sack than their thinner brethren.

A Hong Kong businessman donated $1 million to the families of the two officers shot and killed while sitting in their patrol car in Brooklyn last month. The donor, who chose to remain anonymous, donated $500,000 to the education fund set up for the children of officer Rafael Ramos and another $500,000 to officer Wenjian Liu’s father.

1997 - Col. Tom Parker died from complications from a stroke. He was the promoter that guided Elvis Presley to stardom.

Beachgoers in Newcastle, Australia have been unable to enjoy the country’s warm months due to a pair of large sharks swimming close to the shore. The first shark was spotted January 10 and identified as a 16-foot great white. Another shark was seen in the same area on Thursday. The 11-footer, believed to be a tiger shark, was found attacking a pod of dolphins near the shore.

Employees at a British supermarket (Tesco in Staffordshire) were surprised to find that the man caught stealing a sex toy was Bradley Cooper. But this Bradley Cooper wasn’t the Hollywood actor and star of American Sniper. This was a 19-year-old with the same name.

1911 - 
The first Monte Carlo motor rally took place. 

1973 - The AFC beat the NFC 35-31 in the NFL Pro Bowl in Dallas. The game had been played in Los Angeles since 1942. 

1979 - The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Dallas Cowboys 35-31 in Super Bowl XIII. The Steelers became the first team to win three Super Bowls. 

1985 - Dennis Potvin tied Bobby Orr's career record of 270 NHL goals. Potvin ended up with 310 career goals. 

1986 - Former major-league player, Randy Bass, became the highest-paid baseball player in Japanese history. Bass signed a three-year contract for $3.25 million. He played for the Hanshin Tigers. 

1989 - Wayne Gretzky passed Marcel Dionne to become the NHL's second all time scorer. 

1990 - John McEnroe was disqualified and expelled for throwing a tantrum and using abusive language at an official while leading Mikael Pernfors in the Australian Open. He was the first person to be thrown out of a Grand Slam in 27 years. He was fined $6,500 and kicked out of the tournament. 

1995 - John Stockton became the NBA's all-time career assist leader when he got his 9,922nd. 

1997 - Don Mattingly (New York Yankees) officially announced his retirement. 

1997 - Michael Jordan (Chicago Bulls) scored 51 points against the New York Knicks. 

2002 - Michael Jordan (Washington Wizards) played his first game in Chicago as a visiting player. The Wizards beat the Bulls 77-69. 

2010 - Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers) became the 15th player in NBA history to reach 25,000 career points and the youngest to hit the milestone. He did it 35 days faster than Wilt Chamberlain.

Booster the dog, an Alaskan Malamute who lives in England, bit off more than he could chew, literally, when the canine ate an entire box of chocolates, with the wrappers on, as well as five rubber pet toys. Booster’s owner (Guy Kelly) rushed him to the vet after he found his pet looking bloated and writhing in pain. Booster spent two days in the dog hospital.
