USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp to Open Saturday
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The 2013 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp begins Saturday (Aug. 3) at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y.
The 44 U.S. athletes participating in the camp, including 41 National Hockey League draft picks, have been separated into two groups -- Team Blue and Team White -- for the first three days of training (Aug. 3-5), including games against Finland and Sweden. On Tuesday (Aug. 6), Team USA will trim its roster and a single U.S. squad will finish the camp with games against Canada, Finland and Sweden.

USA Hockey, in partnership with FASTHockey, will provide live streaming coverage of the USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp. Games will be offered on a pay-per-view basis. Users who want to watch one or more games must first sign up for a free account at USAHockey.FASTHockey.com. U.S. Under-18 Select Team Starts Ivan Hlinka Tournament Next Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The U.S. Under-18 Select Team has completed its pre-tournament practices at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va., and is set to begin competition in the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament next week (Aug. 5-10).
The tournament will be staged in Breclav, Czech Republic, and Piestany, Slovakia, and will feature teams from Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.
Team USA will play an exhibition contest on Saturday (Aug. 3) against the Czech Republic before opening tournament play on Monday (Aug. 5) against Finland.
The 22-player Team USA roster was selected following the USA Hockey Boys' Select 17 Player Development Camp that took place June 28-July 3 at the Northtown Center at Amherst in Williamsville, N.Y.
