Tampa, FL. --The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forwards Dana Tyrell and Brett Connolly from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today. Additionally the team has reassigned forwards Mike Angelidis and Ondrej Palat, along with defenseman Andrej Sustr and goaltender Cedrick Desjardins to the Crunch.

U.S. Women's National Team Tops Finland, 4-2, at 2013 IIHF World Women's Championship  Monique Lamoureux Scores Twice to Lead the U.S. to First Victory of Tournament OTTAWA, Ont. – The U.S. Women's National Team defeated Finland 4-2 at the 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championship here today at Scotiabank Place. "Finland competed hard and made it a great game but we're glad to have our first win under our belt," said Katey Stone, head coach for the U.S. Women's National Team. "We're looking forward to building on our game." Team USA got off to a fast start and led 2-0 midway through the first period on goals by Monique Lamoureux (Grand Forks, N.D.) and Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.). Finland responded with a goal at 12:39 to narrow the margin to 2-1. Team USA turned up the pressure with Amanda Kessel (Madison, Wis.) tallying a power play goal at 17:26 to regain a two-goal edge. Lamoureux added her second goal of the game after walking in alone on a cross-ice feed from her sister, Jocelyne Lamoureux (Grand Forks, N.D.). After being outshot 10-1 in the first period, Finland managed to gain some momentum and scored the only goal of the period to head into the locker room down 4-2. The United States controlled the tempo in the third period and outshot Finland 20-4. Brianne McLaughlin made her first start of the of the tournament and stopped 11 of the 13 shots she faced. The U.S. will continue round-robin play against Switzerland on Friday (April 5) at 3:30 p.m. ET.  NOTES: Monique Lamoureux was named U.S. Player of the Game ...
