Tampa, FL. -- On paper, the Lightning look like a battered and beaten team ravaged by injuries to key players.

After all, Tampa Bay will face Ottawa this afternoon without top goaltender Anders Lindback, captain Vinny Lecavalier, winger Benoit Pouliot and power forward Ryan Malone. With those holes, the Lightning will field a playing roster with seven official rookies and 10 players who appeared in the minors this season among the 20 players who will dress.

WENATCHEE — Aggressive offense and contributions from all four lines helped the Wild shake a loss streak and get back on the winning path Friday against the Monsters. They are now tied for first in the North American Hockey League West Division after the victory.

Wenatchee won 5-1 in front of a rocking home crowd of 3,577 at the Town Toyota Center and performed well in just about every phase of the game. Wenatchee entered the contest on a seven-game loss streak.

“It was nice to get back home,” coach Bliss Littler said. “That’s for sure.”
