For the first time in its 80-year history, Augusta National Golf Club has female members. The home of the Masters invited former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and South Carolina financier Darla Moore to become the first women in green jackets when the club opens for a new season in October. What's wrong with the Riders?

With their 4th straight loss, the Saskatchewan Roughriders have slipped to 3-4 on the season. Their next game is this coming Saturday, August 25th at home against the 3-4 Calgary Stampeders. St. Petersburg, FL. -- Considering how well he's pitched this year, there really wasn't any surprise when Rays starting pitcher David Price plowed through the Royals' lineup.

What threw the Tampa Bay off, though, was an almost equally stellar night from Kansas City's Luke Hochevar, despite his 5.24 ERA entering Tuesday's matchup.

But the game came down to the bullpens with the Royals breaking through against the Rays' Joel Peralta in the top of the 10th and holding serve for a 1-0 win at Tropicana Field. The Rays have now lost three times by that same score, their most in a season.

A man was stopped after allegedly stealing six bottles of corn remover medicine from a drugstore in the U.K. When confronted, the man and a security guard got into a scuffle and the man got away -- but not very far. The suspect was unable to run away because of the corns on his feet.

One effective outing couldn't erase all of Tim Lincecum's poor performances this year. But his exploits Tuesday awarded him a pitcher's mound-sized heap of redemption.

Lincecum didn't just earn the decision in the Giants' 4-1 victory over Los Angeles. After all, he beat the Dodgers. That counts extra in Giants country, particularly under the circumstances. The Giants, who already have assured themselves of winning the three-game series, widened their National League West lead over Los Angeles to 1 1/2 games, their biggest bulge since Aug. 8.
