U.S. National Developmental Sled Hockey Team Posts 1-0-0-2 Record in
Exhibition Series Against Canada

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The U.S. National Developmental Sled Hockey Team completed a three-game exhibition series against Canada this past weekend at the United Communities Credit Union Complex in Amherstburg, Ont. Team USA posted a 1-0-0-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record in the three-game series.

"I liked what I saw out of our team this weekend" said Mike MacMillan, head coach of the U.S. National Developmental Sled Hockey Team. "We worked and competed hard against a good opponent. I'm confident this will prove to be a beneficial weekend for our team moving forward."

The U.S. won its first game against Canada, 3-2, on Thursday (Feb. 2) afternoon. Mason Newbold (Lockport, N.Y.), Jeremy Lyon (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Josh Wirt (Saltsburg, Pa.) had goals for Team USA in the victory. The U.S. dropped a 2-0 decision on Friday (Feb. 3) and Danny McDevitt (Abington, Pa.) scored the lone goal for Team USA in a 3-1 loss on Saturday night to conclude the series.

NOTES: Alexi Salamone, a current member of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team, and former U.S. National Sled Hockey Team member, Kip St. Germaine, served as assistant coaches.
