Yale University Unanimous No. 1 in USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Yale University is the unanimous No. 1 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll for the second week in a row. The Bulldogs, who boast an 11-1-0 record, collected 510 points and all 34 first-place votes to claim the top spot.
With the top four teams idle last weekend, the University of New Hampshire remains at No. 2 with 458 points, while the University of Minnesota Duluth (418) sits at No. 3. Boston College (410) claims the No. 4 spot, while the University of North Dakota (403) rounds out the top five after defeating the U.S. National Under-18 Team.
The USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll will take a one-week hiatus and will return on Jan. 3.
NOTES: The Western Collegiate Hockey Association leads all conferences with five ranked teams, while Hockey East boasts four ranked programs, and the Central Collegiate Hockey Association and ECAC Hockey each have three ... A total of 23 teams received votes.
ABOUT THE POLL: The 16th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men’s College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. Slovakia-Norway Pre-World Junior Championship Game in Jamestown Postponed by One Day
Game to be Played Wednesday at 7 p.m.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Slovakia-Norway pre-World Junior Championship game scheduled for Tuesday (Dec. 21) at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena in Jamestown, N.Y., has been postponed by one day due to unforeseen delays in the arrival of Norway's hockey equipment.
The game will now be played at 7 p.m. EST on Wednesday (Dec. 22) at Jamestown Savings Bank Arena. Those holding tickets for the game on Tuesday may simply present the same tickets for admission to Wednesday's contest.
Tickets still remain for Wednesday's game and also for the Russia-Slovakia and USA-Norway contests on Thursday (Dec. 23) in Jamestown. For more information, fans may visit jamestownarena.com or call 716.484.2624.
